Phone conversation

The purpose of this conversation is to see if we can establish /strengthen our working relationship and determine if we should have a meeting to further this project.

Ok lets have an initial conversation about your website. What I want to do is to start the conversation about your website and determine if its worth having a meeting to discuss it further.

I want to know if we can work with you, and I bet you are trying to work out if you can work with us.

Have you got around 10 minutes now to have that conversation now?

OK, first question: How did you hear about us?

OK, then tell me a little bit about your business.

And what are you looking for in a website?

[add some value in response]

And what about your strategic business objectives?

[discuss]

Ok – that sounds interesting.

Let me tell you two things about us. I want to tell you a little  bit about our technical capabilities, and a also a little bit about us as a business.

We are experts at building things in web browsers. We've had clients like Amcor the packaging multinational, unisuper and the federal government, and really I'm a bit of a techno-geek so I could go on and on about that. What it does mean is that we are often able to do things that our competitors just can't and often at a cost benefit to you.

But what really makes us stand out from our competitors is that we focus more on the people and their user experiences than we do on the computers.

We are now more interested in how we feel about technology. We are interested in creating websites that are easy for everyone to use. We are interested in creating websites that change the way that your customers and prospects feel about your business, and that change the way that you feel about your business. We are interested in strategies that make this happen.

Typically these websites cost anywhere from 2.5k to 10k, typically 4-6.

We are interested in creating websites that have a positive impact on your business. And we are interested in forming partnerships with businesses that make that happen.

Now does that sound like a match for you. Do you want to organise a meeting?

Ok, lets organise two meetings then

The first meeting is designed to get clear on your purpose + develop a strategy for your website.

In between the two meetings we do our homework and scope out a potential website.

In the 2nd meeting we develop a brief and proposal together and then create the development plan on how to complete the website by working in partnership.

Lets organise a time for the first meeting.

That's great. I look forward to speaking to you then. In the meantime I am going to send you a couple of resources that I think you should read that may help you when we get to talking about your website then.

Email 1 - pre-meeting 1
this form sets up the prospect for the first meeting. It sends them meeting time and date as well as resources to boost value

email 2 - post meeting 1
this form reviews the results of the first meeting and then sets the prospect up for the second

email 3 - post meeting 2
The purpose of this email is to set you up for carrying out the actions and sending us the resources that we agreed to in this plan.

email 4 - post meeting 2
