Inserting and formatting tables

Long, long ago tables were a vital tool in web design, being used as the fundamental way a web page was structured and laid out. These days we rely on our stylesheets to manage layout. Tables should only be used for constructing tables of information - much as you would use them for in Word.  If you are using a lot of tables in your website, we suggest that you talk to us about creating some stylesheet rules so that your tables automatically format to meet your needs.
